If you like yoga or want to try it out, get down to Cathay’s Community Centre on Sunday 18th November to do some yoga and help raise money for a great cause!

Trained yoga instructor Alex Caskey-Jones is running a one-hour yoga session from 7.15pm.

Yoga is an a fantastic de-stressing activity which is great for relaxation, flexibility and your general health overall. It’s also a great way to meet people and make more friends!

The hall can fit up to 70 people, so if you want to get involved, visit their event page on Facebook for more information.

The session is £3, and all the funds raised will go towards a mental health placement for Alex’s sister Harriet from September-November 2019 with SLV Global, who create mental health placements to promote positive mental health in Sri Lanka, India and Bali.

Harriet’s placement will involve vital training, accommodation and support as well as doing activities which promotes positive mental health and reduces the stigma surrounding mental illness.

She will also be carrying out community projects involving the teaching of English and after school clubs.
